High Level Forum on Development Cooperation

The High Level Forum brings together heads of state, ministers, heads of international organisations, businesses, local governments and civil society. Innovative approaches and successful projects in the field of sustainable development are presented. The third High Level Meeting on Development Cooperation will encourage urgent action to improve the effectiveness of development actions and make them more relevant to vulnerable populations. It is also about increasing resilience and accelerating progress towards the 2030 Agenda, in the context of pandemics, economic crises and climate disaster. The meeting will aim to facilitate important political decisions and translate these commitments into action for better development cooperation at the country level.
Local governments will have a special role in this meeting, as they lead the work programme on sub-national action and its effectiveness.
