Dakar Summit 2: Feeding Africa

If Sustainable Development Goal 2 on zero hunger is to be achieved worldwide, it must first be achieved in Africa. According to the United Nations, Africa is the continent where "the number of undernourished people is growing faster than anywhere else in the world".
Feeding the world therefore requires that global food systems be changed to fully unlock Africa's food production potential. It is in this sense that the Dakar 2 Summit has been initiated. It will bring together governments, the private sector, multilateral organisations, NGOs and scientists to address the growing challenge of food security in Africa.
