Africa Financial Industry Summit (AFIS) 2022

After a first edition entirely online, the next Africa Financial Industry Summit (AFIS) will take place on 28 and 29 November 2022 in Lomé. The Togolese capital will host the event, which aims to foster the emergence of a pan-African financial services sector. As new technologies revolutionise financial services, the event will examine how the African financial sector can transform itself and benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Area.

Under the theme "Sustainable, Borderless and Digital - Transforming Finance in the Age of Disruption", the forum will bring together the continent's financial industry leaders and regulators.

Its promoters point out that Africa's development depends on building an efficient, inclusive and sustainable financial sector, but it is currently highly vulnerable to global shocks. Inflationary pressures, currency instability and investor risk aversion threaten the ability of the African financial industry to adapt to the technological changes that are revolutionising banking and financial markets.

Through round tables and practical workshops, more than 600 leaders of the African financial sector (CEOs, bankers, Fintech, mobile money operators, institutional investors, capital markets operators and development finance institutions, but also regulators and finance ministers) will concretely address the major challenges that African finance must prepare for.
