Global Circular Economy Forum 2022 in Rwanda
6 December 2022 - 8 December 2022
The Global Circular Economy Forum 2022 will be held from 6 to 8 December, for the first time, on African soil in Kigali, Rwanda. It will bring together participants from all over the world to learn from the continent and the global South to build a more resilient and greener global economy.
The Global Circular Economy Forum 2022 (GCEF2022) will showcase some of the world's best circular economy solutions. It will provide an opportunity for businesses from Africa and beyond to seize new opportunities and gain a competitive edge in the transition to low-carbon and climate-resilient economies. Business leaders, policy makers and experts from around the world are expected to attend. The first forum was held in 2017.
Under the theme "From Africa to the World", the event will take place in a hybrid format and the proceedings will be broadcast live on giant screens in several African cities, in order to generate widespread interest in the forum. This format will allow participants to take part in discussions on local circular economy models and examples from a distance.
