International Agricultural Show 2022

The SIAO (Ouagadougou International Agricultural Show) will open its doors on 28 October. Its theme will be: "African crafts, a lever for development and a factor for the resilience of populations".
The SIAO claims 200 buyers and professional visitors from all continents, 4000 exhibitors from various backgrounds, for 350,000 visitors from the general public. The show will be the occasion to distribute various prizes, worth more than 40 million CFA francs (59,000 euros). Beyond the traditional craft market, the SIA is a place of meetings and exchanges for all professionals of African art. Whether it is design, tableware, fashion, decoration, furniture... Each year, the SIAO extends its offer of conferences and training workshops.
This edition will be organised in conjunction with the tenth conference of ministers of the Coordinating Committee for the Development and Promotion of African Crafts (CODEPA). "At least fifteen countries are expected to attend to decide on the items on the agenda, including the project to link CODEPA to the African Union," said the Minister of Communication, Valérie Kaboré.
